-What is a Geopark?
"Geo" means earth and land.A geopark is a natural park containing a geological heritage of special importance, value and beauty from a scientific point of view.Geology and topography are related to the history of the earth and human life and culture. Geoparks are what we learn and enjoy as a heritage.The Global Geoparks Network (GGN) was established in 2004 with the support of UNESCO. In 2015, Global Geoparks became an official UNESCO project.

-Mushikuiiwa
It has been selected as a national natural monument. You can see a large rock that has been eroded by wind and rain and has many holes carved into it that look like they were eaten by insects.

-Monolith
The most popular sightseeing spot in this area. One of the largest rocks in Japan with a height of about 100m and a width of about 500m is a spectacular scale.

-Takinohai
A rare waterfall with irregularly shaped rock holes of various sizes. It is also famous for fishing for sweetfish and for seeing the gobies climbing the waterfall.
