"JTB Brighter Earth Project" has been held!
JTB Global Marketing & Travel held the "JTB Brighter Earth Project" in Chiba Prefecture on September 23, 2025 (National Holiday).
The "JTB Brighter Earth Project" is an initiative where customers, local community members, and JTB Group employees come together to create a vibrant future, with the aim of contributing to sustainability. This time, JTBGMT organized a tour that included beach cleaning activities at Tsurigasaki Beach in Chiba Prefecture, where sea turtles come to lay eggs, and beach yoga sessions led by a hearing-impaired yoga instructor. This initiative was planned not only from an environmental protection perspective but also to promote sustainability from a DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging) standpoint.
A total of 38 participants, including JTBGMT employees and general guests, departed from Tokyo Station to Chiba Prefecture by bus. First, we visited KURKKU FIELDS, a circular and sustainable farm. At KURKKU FIELDS, they practice creating an environment where byproducts and water generated within the facility are circulated. After touring the facility with explanations from staff members, we enjoyed lunch boxes made with vegetables and game meat produced on the farm.
After lunch, we traveled by bus again to Tsurigasaki Beach. During the bus ride, a sign language workshop was conducted by a hearing-impaired employee, where participants learned basic greetings and other sign language. Upon arriving at Tsurigasaki Beach, members of the "Ichinomiya Sea Turtle Conservation Group" explained the beach and their organization's activities, and we conducted beach cleaning. Thanks to the daily efforts of local community members, the beach was maintained in beautiful condition. However, we were able to collected large fishing buoy that had washed ashore and small plastic fragments.

Finally, we listened to Ms. Yumie Hori, a deaf professional bodyboarder and yoga instructor, share her life experiences and passion for the ocean, and received beach yoga instruction from her. Surrounded by sea breezes and the sound of waves, we were able to spend a relaxing time at the end of our activities.
JTBGMT will continue to work with business partners and customers to promote sustainability initiatives.
