How the Ticket Sales System Works
 
 
1.Ticket Sales Details
(1) Eligibility of Ticket The Voucher is available for only non-residents of Japan.
(2) Type of ticket Reservation ticket (admission voucher) with designated admission date
*Reservation ticket will be issued by JTB.
The admission date and visitor's name will be written on the ticket.
(3) Number of available tickets Total 200 tickets per admission day (for all overseas sales including the three Asian regions)
(4)Admission dates Tickets for that month up to three months ahead will be sold from the 1st of every month.

  • 1/1 Jan./Feb./Mar./Apr. tickets

    Ages 19 and older  JPY 1,000
    Ages 13 to 18  JPY  700
    Ages 7 to 12  JPY  400
    Ages 4 to 6  JPY  100

    * Prices will be set by the local travel agency, based on weekly local currency exchange rates. There will be an additional handling fee.
    (6) Method of purchase In addition to ticket purchase at designated travel agency counters, reservations can be made by telephone, fax, or e-mail.

    (7) End of ticket sales Tickets will be sold until all tickets are sold out, or until the day before the admission date.
    (8) Date changes / cancellations Date changes and cancellations are not allowed.
     
    2.Purchase Procedures
     
    On
    purchase:
    Travel Agency counters:Present personal I.D. and give desired admission date and name(s) of visitors, and pay ticket prices and handling fee in exchange for a voucher.
    Mail order:Phone, fax, or e-mail desired admission date and required information (name / nationality / adress / telephone No. / passport No.) for all visitors, and credit card information to travel agency. Ticket and handling fee will be charged to credit card, and voucher will be sent by mail.

    Present voucher and passport at Ghibli Museum entrance, exchange voucher for "film ticket", and enter Museum.
