"JTB Brighter Earth Project" has been held!

2026.10.13

JTB Global Marketing & Travel ( JTBGMT ) held the “JTB Brighter Earth Project” on September 23, 2026 (National Holiday).

The “JTB Brighter Earth Project” is an initiative that brings together customers, local community members, and JTB Group employees to create a vibrant future together.
JTBGMT organized the "Cleaning for a Peaceful Future & JAL Sustainability Exploration Tour" in the Haneda area. In partnership with the Minna no Haneda Volunteer Promotion Association and JAPAN AIRLINES (JAL), we brought together 42 participants, including JTBGMT employees and valued guests.
Haneda Airport serves as a vital gateway for international visitors to Japan and a key touchpoint for JTBGMT to foster community engagement and welcome travelers from around the world. Guided by our commitment to deepening the understanding of the Haneda area and contributing to local sustainability, we are proud to have launched this project.

At the Haneda Peace Torii Gate, we had the opportunity to hear from the Minna no Haneda Volunteer Promotion Association regarding the background of the Torii’s relocation to its current site, as well as the history of the Haneda area. Despite the rain, participants listened with great interest to the stories shared and enthusiastically joined the cleanup activity, helping to keep the Haneda area clean and beautiful.

After lunch, participants attended a lecture by JAL on the company’s sustainability initiatives. The interactive program, which included quizzes, was especially popular with the elementary school-aged participants, providing a fun and meaningful opportunity to deepen their interest in sustainability. Participants then made their way to the JAL SKY MUSEUM, where they learned about JAL’s history and gained a behind-the-scenes look at the operations that support its flights. The experience offered a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of JAL’s commitment to building a more sustainable society.

Through activities to help preserve the local environment, participants gained insights into the area’s history and culture, as well as the sustainability challenges facing the aviation industry. It was a meaningful day that encouraged each participant to reflect on the future.
JTBGMT will continue to value collaboration with local communities and actively promote initiatives that contribute to building a sustainable society.
