Sushi-making Experience

Sushi-making Experience

Duration: 1.5-2 hours

Learn how to make authentic sushi from a professional itamae, or sushi chef, at a historic sushi restaurant near the upscale Tokyo district of Ginza.
The sushi master will not only show you how to prepare the fish, but also explain everything from the history of sushi to the proper way of eating it.

Highlights
● The location is an affiliate of a sushi restaurant that first opened in Tsukiji in 1924. Each morning, the highly skilled chef at this authentic Edo-style sushi restaurant prepares sushi from fresh ingredients carefully selected by connoisseurs.
● Up to four participants can make sushi from behind the sushi counter, an area usually strictly off-limits to all but the chef.
● Participants wear the same white cap and overalls as the chef. The cap can be taken home afterwards as a souvenir.
● Lunch is the sushi you have made yourself plus a selection of nigirizushi and makizushi.
● Make your own fresh wasabi to add to your sushi.
