1912 the Japan Tourist Bureau is established, taking on the mission of the "Kihinkai".

1963 Japan Travel Bureau Inc. is established.

1964 Support services for the Tokyo Olympics. Started "Sunrise Tours"; package tours aimed at overseas visitors.

1998 Support services for the Nagano Olympics.

2000 Support services for the Sydney Olympics. JAPAN HOUSE Management. Handled tickets. JTB-CWT Business Travel Solutions, Inc., is established as a business travel company, in a joint venture with Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT).

2002 Support services for 2002 FIFA World Cup.

2004 Support services for Athens Olympics. Handled tickets.

2006 Support services for Torino Olympics. Handled tickets. Opened website "JAPANiCAN" to provide online multilingual services for overseas visitors to Japan.

2008 Support services for Beijing Olympics. Acquisition of shares in Tumlare Group.

2010 Support services for 18th APEC.

2012 Support services for London Olympics. Japanese team dispatched. Handled tickets. 100th anniversary of JTB establishment.

JTB has established a central human resources office to manage a network of over 500 interpreters, licensed guides, and support staff. Their combined skills, licenses, status and experience allow us to meet a wide range of customer needs. On hand are a number of staff speaking about 30 different languages, ready and able to act as interpreters and liaisons for your sporting event.
