The village was created from traditional style houses moved and rebuilt in this area, allowing visitors to experience the Ishigaki of times gone by.
Nagura Ampuru, a wetland registered on the Ramsar Convention, is also located in the village, featuring mangroves, Chinese box turtles, and other rare wildlife.

09:00-18:30 Ishigaki Island Stalactite Cave This cave was formed from a coral reef and is the largest stalactite cave on Ishigakijima.
Approximately 660 meters of this 3.2 kilometer long cave is open to the public, and the stalactites are illuminated with lighting to give an interesting appearance. Large tree nymph butterflies, the largest species in Japan, and massive coconut crabs are raised here. Visitors will have plenty to enjoy even on rainy days.
