Overview :

1. This 4-day tour departs Tokyo and is accompanied by a National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter while visiting popular sightseeing areas from Mt. Fuji to Kanazawa.
2. In the Mt. Fuji/Hakone area, enjoy 1 whole day with a visit to the World Heritage Site of Mt. Fuji's 5th Station, the popular sightseeing spot of Hakone Komagatake Ropeway, and a cruise on Lake Ashi.
3. At Takayama, take a walk around the old town, where traditional Japanese-style townhouses and traces of the Edo period (1603-1868) still remain.
4. At the World Heritage site Shirakawago, enjoy seeing the seasonal scenery of a quaint village of thatch-roofed houses.
5. At Kanazawa, see the historical samurai residence district, a beautiful Japanese garden, and visit a teahouse district where the atmosphere of the Edo period (1603-1868) still lingers in the air.
6. The tour will depart Tokyo and end in Kyoto. Travel to Kyoto while enjoying the various sightseeing locations.

08:15-08:25 Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo Main Tower 3F Meet at JTB Sunrise Tours Sales Office Please be at the meeting location at least 10 minutes (8:15) before departure.
The bus will depart at 8:25.

30(min) Mt. Fuji 5th Station The bus will head up to the 5th Station along the Subaru Line.
The 5th Station is situated at 2,300 meters (7,546 feet) above sea level. At this height, you will be amazed at spectacular, breathtaking views from above the clouds.
50(min) Lunch Enjoy Japanese-style cuisine.

15(min) Lake Ashi Cruise At Lake Ashi in Hakone, customers can ride a cruise ship. Spend a relaxing time while gazing at the beautiful lake and Mt. Fuji.
*The tour may be guided to an alternative destination if the Lake Ashi cruise operation is suspended, or depending on road conditions, congestion, etc.
50(min) Hakone Komagatake Ropeway Take a 7-minute ropeway ride to the peak of Mt. Komagatake. A total of 50 minutes will be spent here, including time to walk around at the peak. Take a cableway ride up to the spiritual Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya (original shrine) that nestles at the mountaintop. Enjoy the scenery of Lake Ashi spread out below.
*The tour may be guided to an alternative destination if the Komagatake Ropeway operation is suspended, or depending on road conditions, congestion, etc.
From Hakone-en to Hotel Go to the hotel on foot, via bus, or via taxi from Hakone-en.

30(min) Yatai Kaikan (Takayama Festival Floats Exhibition Hall) This popular facility displays some of the colorfully decorated festival floats used in the famous Takayama Festival. Enjoy seeing the many intricately made floats.
20(min) Kusakabe Heritage House Enjoy a visit to this historical Japanese-style townhouse and view a range of exquisite folk art and traditional handicrafts.

40(min) Takayama Morning Market Enjoy walking around the bustling Takayama Morning Market, where a wide array of local specialties and other products are available.
30(min) Kami-Sannomachi Located in the heart of the castle town, the old streets of this area - which originally developed as a merchant town - retain traces from the Edo period (1603-1868), and are a must-see for visitors.
15(min) Shirakawago Observatory Enjoy an elevated view of the World Heritage-registered thatch-roofed village of Shirakawago. Great for photography!
45(min) Lunch at a Thatched Roof House Savor a Japanese-style set meal.
60(min) Wada Residence (traditional thatch-roofed farmhouse) This is one of the thatch-roofed houses, also registered as a World Heritage Site. Look around and be fascinated by the culture and history of the village.

40(min) Nomura Residence, Nagamachi Samurai District Visit a former residence of a samurai family from the Kaga Domain. Admire the traditional architecture and gaze at the beautiful Japanese garden.
60(min) Kenrokuen Garden This beautiful garden is considered one of the top three Japanese gardens.
It offers amazing seasonal views all year round.
40(min) Higashi Chaya-gai Wooden-latticed exteriors of teahouses line both sides of the stone-paved street here where something from the Edo period (1603-1868) still lingers in the air. This area is an Important Traditional Building Preservation District.
30(min) Hakuza Honten Feel free to purchase handicrafts, accessories, cosmetics, and other items made with gold leaf.
12:40-14:00 Kanazawa Station Eat lunch on your own after arrival at Kanazawa Station.
14:10-15:00 145(min) From Kanazawa Station to Kyoto Station Take the JR limited express train to Kyoto Station.

16:30-17:10 Drop-off Service An English-speaking tour conductor will meet participants at Kyoto Station.
A drop-off service by taxi to major hotels in Kyoto City is available.

3. The itinerary displayed on the booking screen is the final itinerary. A copy of the final itinerary will not be sent to participants.
4. This is a special tour for international visitors. Please understand that residents of Japan cannot make bookings for this tour.
5. Children up to 5 years old may join free of charge, but will not be provided with bus and Shinkansen seats or meals. Also, at some hotels, a facility usage fee will be required. Please pay at the location.

[Important Notes/Supplements: Regarding Meals]
[Lunch]
1. For customers that would like a vegetarian meal or Muslim-friendly meal for the Day 1 lunch (for Day 1 Mt. Fuji & Hakone Tour only), please make a request at the time of booking. 
*Muslim-friendly Meals: A menu that does not use pork or alcohol will be provided. Please note that these are not halal certified. - Allergy-friendly meals, gluten free meals, etc. are not available.
2. Vegetarian requests are available for lunch on Day 3. If preferred, please make a request when booking. Please note that allergy-friendly meals, etc. are not available.
3. Please note that no stop will be made for lunch on Day 2 and Day 4 of the tour. Participants will eat lunch on board the train, so purchasing a bento box meal, etc. prior to departure is recommended (before departing from Nagoya Station on Day 2, and departing from Kanazawa Station on Day 4).
[For Accommodation Facilities with Breakfast Included]
1. The inclusion of meals at the accommodation facility can be chosen from the hotel selection on the reservation screen.
2. For customers that select accommodation that includes breakfast: Meals at the hotels in Hakone, Takayama, and Kanazawa are served buffet style, and vegetarian options are not available.
3. For customers who booked Tenseien for the Hakone hotel, while dinner and breakfast is included for Hakone only, depending on the tour end and start times, customers may not be able to eat these meals. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
[Important Notes/Supplements: Accommodation Information]
1. When booking, we accept requests for non-smoking rooms, double rooms (depends on hotel), and baby cots (depends on hotel), but please note that fulfillment of such requests is not guaranteed.
An additional charge is required for a baby cot at Yumoto Fujiya Hotel and Hida Hotel Plaza. Please pay at the location.
Also, children sharing beds with adults are limited to 1 child per bed.
2. The excluded days for each accommodation facility are different than the excluded days for tour operation.
[Luggage Delivery]
On Day 1, customers are to bring large baggage such as suitcases themselves from the pick-up hotel to the hotel accommodation in Hakone. On Day 2, luggage will be transported separately from the hotel accommodation in Hakone to the hotel in Kyoto. There will be no luggage transport to Takayama and Kanazawa (destinations partway through the tour), so please bring an overnight bag packed for 1 night at each location. (One article of standard size luggage per customer will be transported.)
In addition, for the Kyoto delivery service on Day 2, luggage can only be sent to hotels, and the delivery service is only available for guests staying at each hotel. Please note that luggage cannot be sent to private residences. Details about luggage delivery will be explained by the first day of the tour.
[About Day 1 Itinerary (Mt. Fuji & Hakone Tour)]
1. Please be at the meeting location at least 10 minutes before departure.

2. If Mt. Fuji's 5th Station cannot be reached due to road surface freezing or an accident on the Fuji Subaru Line, the tour will be taken to the highest elevation point possible. No alternative destinations are planned when the tour reaches beyond the 1st Station. When the tour has to turn back at the 1st Station, or when the Fuji Subaru Line is completely blocked, the tour will visit Fujisan World Heritage Center or Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park. Please note that an alternative itinerary may also be omitted depending on road conditions.
3. Due to weather conditions, Mt. Fuji may not be visible even from the base. However, the tour will not be canceled and refunds will not be given for this reason.
4. If the Lake Ashi cruise or Komagatake Ropeway cannot be boarded (when not visitable due to suspension of operation, road congestion, or conditions at other sightseeing areas), the tour will be guided to one of the following alternative destinations. (The tour will not be canceled and refunds will not be issued for this reason.)
Swan Lake Cruise Ship on Lake Yamanaka, Odawara Castle, Hakone Venetian Glass Museum, Hakone-en Aquarium, Hakone Ropeway, Hakone Pirate Ship, Narukawa Art Museum, Hakone Checkpoint, Lake Kawaguchi Cruise, Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway, Itchiku Kubota Art Museum, Hakone Shrine, Oshino Shinobi no Sato, etc.
5. On the day when the annual Mt. Fuji Hill Climb is held, which is usually on a weekend in June (schedule for 2021 is yet to be determined), the Fuji Subaru Line is closed until around 14:00. The tour will proceed on this day as well.
Please note that there will be changes to the itinerary order and sightseeing locations, and the Komagatake Ropeway and Lake Ashi cruise may be changed to alternative itineraries. Furthermore, please note that refunds will not be issued in this case, and customers will not be notified separately when the schedule has been determined.
[Itinerary for Day 2 onward (Takayama & Kanazawa Tour)]
1. If sightseeing facilities at Takayama, Shirakawago, or Kanazawa are closed, the tour will be taken to alternative destinations.
2. The departure and arrival times and time to be spent at destinations written on the itinerary are an estimate. The order of activities and arrival times may differ depending on road conditions and congestion at destinations.

[Regarding Luggage on Shinkansen]
