50(min) Nijo Castle A World Heritage site. Tour the historical castle completed in 1626, which was built to provide lodging for the Tokugawa Shogun and as a palladium for Kyoto Imperial Palace. The impressive, elaborate carvings and decors in the Ninomaru Palace are a must-see.

45(min) Kinkaku-ji Temple A World Heritage site. The wooden architecture is covered in thin layers of pure gold and is surrounded by a beautiful pond.
30(min) [Except Mondays]   Kyoto Imperial Palace See the Kyoto Imperial Palace, which was used as the Emperor's residence until about 150 years ago.

30(min) [Mondays (and Tuesdays when Monday is a national holiday)] Kitano Tenmangu Shrine On Mondays (and Tuesdays if a national holiday falls on the preceding Monday), this tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead of the Kyoto Imperial Palace. It is famous for housing the God of scholarship. This shrine's main hall is a designated national treasure. The shrine is especially great to see during the plum blossom and autumn leaf seasons.
60(min) Lunch (meal charges not included in the tour) The tour will stop for free time in the Kyoto Station area.
60(min) Todai-ji Temple (Great Buddha) Nara Park A World Heritage site. This is the symbol of the Nara Period and one of the world's largest wooden structures. Its huge main hall and bronze Great Buddha are impressive to behold.
20(min) Kasuga Taisha Shrine This Nara Period shrine is designated as a World Heritage Site. The deer of Nara Park are thought to be the shrine messengers.

At reception, please show your reservation confirmation sheet, a printout of the reservation confirmation e-mail, or show the e-mail on your mobile device screen to staff.

1. This is a request reservation tour.
Please understand in advance that reception of requests does not guarantee reservations.
After an inquiry on reception availability has been made and the tour service has been reserved, the application procedure is officially completed. Furthermore, answering may take some time (it is expected to take 5 business days at most).

2. At the time of request reception, the cancellation policy does not apply, however, if there is a cancellation after an official booking has been made, the designated cancellation fee will be required.

3. Request Reservation Method
(1) Please create a reservation record on GE2. (Stock is at 0, so at this time reservations cannot be guaranteed.
(2) After creating a request record, please include the following information and contact JTB Global Marketing & Travel staff via e-mail. (For accompanying infants, please write their age and height in the e-mail when making a request.)
(3) Contact will be provided by email after reception availability has been confirmed.
If reception is possible, reservation approval will be done by Sunrise on GE2, and notification of completion for reservation acceptance will be provided by e-mail.

- This tour is accompanied by a National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter. As arrangements need to be made, please contact us if interested.
- 1 vehicle will be prepared for each group. The type of vehicle may vary depending on the number of group members. The vehicle type cannot be selected. Please be forewarned.

This tour will visit the sightseeing locations listed on the itinerary. Please note that requests for changes to the itinerary cannot be accepted regardless of whether they are made in advance or on the day.

- The Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed on the following days. As such, the tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead.
(Mondays, Tuesday if Monday is a national holiday, May 14-17 for the Aoi Festival, New Year's holidays, and whenever there is an Imperial Household event)
- The tour will visit Nishi Hongan-ji Temple instead of Kitano Tenmangu Shrine on January 25, 2021 and October 25, 2021.
- Nijo Castle is closed on Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December. (Closed on the following day if Tuesday is a holiday.) If closed, or if the tour is during the year-end/New Year's holidays, Ryoan-ji Temple will be visited instead.
- Participants will walk from the parking lot to Todai-ji Temple (about 15 min one-way). Thank you for your understanding.
- At Kasuga Taisha Shrine, the tour does not include entrance to areas requiring admission.
- The order of activities and arrival times may differ depending on road conditions and congestion at destinations.

- This is the round-trip fare for Kyoto City (excludes part of mountainous region).
Please note that service is not available for pick-up or drop-off locations situated outside the city or in distant areas. Thank you for your understanding.
- Please be sure to designate your preferred pick-up location (a hotel or ryokan in Kyoto City *excludes part of mountainous region) and drop-off location (a hotel or ryokan in Kyoto City *excludes part of mountainous region) at the time of booking. Also inform us of your phone number and e-mail address at which you can be reached in Japan, as well as your accommodation location for the night prior to the tour. Please note that pick-up service is not available at private residences, private lodgings (minpaku), townhouses, and other accommodations which do not have 24-hour front desk facilities. If your preferred pick-up/drop-off location is outside of the allowable area or is not clear, you may be contacted by the Conducting Company or your travel agent.
