Overview :

1. This day tour includes round-trip Shinkansen tickets from Tokyo to Kyoto and a full day of sightseeing in Kyoto. This tour is accompanied by a National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter.
2. The tour will visit Nijo Castle, Kinkaku-ji Temple, Kyoto Imperial Palace, Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, Sanjusangen-do Temple, and Kiyomizu-dera Temple. This tour takes participants to famous temples, a shrine, a castle, and other majestic places of interest in Kyoto.

Day before tour departure The tickets for the designated Shinkansen and the final itinerary will be sent to the pick-up location.
06:00-06:20 140(min) Depart from Tokyo Station, Shinagawa Station, or Shin-Yokohama Station *Changes may not be made to the scheduled Shinkansen. From Tokyo Station, Shinagawa Station, or Shin-Yokohama Station, take the Shinkansen (Nozomi, ordinary car, reserved seating) and head to Kyoto.
08:00-08:20 Arrive at Kyoto Station After arriving, head to Kyoto Avanti on your own. After arriving in Kyoto, please make your own way to Kyoto Avanti.

50(min) Nijo Castle A World Heritage site. Tour the historical castle completed in 1626, which was built to provide lodging for the Tokugawa Shogun and as a palladium for Kyoto Imperial Palace. The impressive, elaborate carvings and decors in the Ninomaru Palace are a must-see.

45(min) Kinkaku-ji Temple A World Heritage site. The wooden architecture is covered in thin layers of pure gold and is surrounded by a beautiful pond.
40(min) [Regular]    Kyoto Imperial Palace See the Kyoto Imperial Palace, which was used as the Emperor's residence until about 150 years ago.

40(min) [Kyoto Imperial Palace Closed Days] Kitano Tenmangu Shrine Kitano Tenmangu Shrine is the substitute for Kyoto Imperial Palace on days it is closed to visitors. It is famous for housing the God of scholarship. This shrine's main hall is a designated national treasure. The shrine is especially great to see during the plum blossom and autumn leaf seasons.

60(min) Lunch Participants will be provided a set menu meal.

30(min) Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine Fushimi Inari Taisha is the head shrine of some 40,000 inari-jinja shrines located all over Japan. The bright red Senbon Torii gates are a must-see attraction.
30(min) Sanjusangen-do Temple Visit the world's longest wooden structure, housing 1,001 life-size statues of Buddhist Kannon deities dating back to the 13th century.
70(min) Kiyomizu-dera Temple The view of Kyoto from the World Heritage Site of Kiyomizu-dera is superb. The historic shopping lane that leads to the temple adds to a wonderful experience.
17:30-18:30 Tour ends after arrival at Kyoto Station. Free time until Shinkansen departure. Arrive at Kyoto Station / Tour Ends
Enjoy sightseeing in Kyoto on your own until time for departure.
*The bus may stop along the way at hotels in Kyoto City.
20:00-21:00 140(min) Depart from Kyoto Station *Changes may not be made to the scheduled Shinkansen. Customers are to board the Shinkansen (Nozomi, ordinary car, reserved seating) on their own from Kyoto Station and head to Tokyo.
22:30-23:30 Arrive at Shin-Yokohama Station / Shinagawa Station / Tokyo Station, Tour Ends Arrive at Shin-Yokohama Station / Shinagawa Station / Tokyo Station. Plan ends upon arrival.

- This is a special tour for international visitors. Please understand that residents of Japan cannot make bookings for this tour.
- If the minimum number of participants is not met by 4 days before the scheduled date, the tour on that date may be canceled.

- On the day of the tour, a health check and temperature screening will be conducted. Those with a temperature of 37.5 and above as well as those who do not feel well may not be allowed to participate.

The Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed to visitors on the following days. As such, the tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead. If the closed day falls on the 25th, the tour will visit Nishi Hongan-ji Temple. (Mondays, Tuesday if Monday is a national holiday, and whenever there is an Imperial Household event)
Nijo Castle is closed on Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December. (Closed on the following day if Tuesday is a holiday.) If closed, Ryoan-ji Temple will be visited instead.
During the Gion Festival (Sakimatsuri, July 15 - 16), drop-off service to Karasuma Kyoto Hotel and Hotel Nikko Princess Kyoto will be unavailable due to traffic restrictions.
Connections from this tour can be made to the "Kyoto Maiko Dinner" and "Kyoto Night Tour."
Participants will walk from the parking lot to Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine (about 15 min one-way). Thank you for your understanding.
The order of activities and arrival times may differ depending on road conditions and congestion at destinations.

Tickets and the final itinerary may be picked up at either (1) a hotel designated for ticket and itinerary delivery, or (2) Tokyo City i. The designated Shinkansen may not be changed at the pick-up location.
If the address for the tickets and final itinerary to be sent to changes after booking, please inform us at least 8 days prior to the tour departure date.
Pick-up is possible starting from 7 days before the tour departure date until the day prior to departure. (Pick-up at Tokyo City i is possible starting from 3 days before the tour departure date until the day prior to departure.) Also, regarding bookings made less than 7 days prior to the tour departure date, pick-up will be possible starting from 2 days after the booking is made until the day prior to departure. Pick-up may be made only on or after the designated pick-up date. Tickets cannot be issued or changed at Tokyo City i.
(1) If Hotel designated for ticket and itinerary delivery is selected:
Tickets will be sent by the day prior to tour departure. When booking, please enter the hotel's official name, address (all including postal code, prefecture, city, area number, etc.), and the name used for the hotel booking. Please be aware that service will not be possible if there are any errors in the information provided.
Please note that service to private residences or private lodgings (minpaku) is not available. Thank you for your understanding.
*Service to certain locations other than hotels, such as a business or embassy, is available. (Must be located in Japan.) Just as in the case for a hotel, please provide the address (all including postal code, prefecture, city, area number, etc.), and the name of the person to be sent to, along with contact information.
(2) If Tokyo City i is selected:
Please go to Tokyo City i and pick up the tickets on your own by the day prior to tour departure.
Pick-up at Tokyo City i is possible starting from 3 days before the tour departure date until the day prior to departure.

[Important Notes/Supplements: About Shinkansen]
(1) Please check your ticket and the final itinerary for the train number and departure time. Changes may not be made to the scheduled Shinkansen.
(2) The Shinkansen schedule may vary due to timetable revisions, etc.
(3) No refunds will be issued even if the Shinkansen tickets are not used. In such cases, please use public transportation to the destination on your own.
(4) If you must cancel your tour after receiving the Shinkansen tickets, please send the tickets back to the planning company (see Remarks 1).
(5) Changes may not be made to the scheduled Shinkansen. Customers who miss the designated Shinkansen may board a later departing Shinkansen in the non-reserved car section only (same day only).
(6) Customers will carry their own baggage. Please check the following important notes.
 - About bringing oversized baggage on JR Shinkansen
Passengers need to reserve (free of charge) in advance a seat with an oversized baggage area when bringing baggage with overall dimensions (A+B+C) of more than 160 cm onto the Tokaido, Sanyo, and Kyushu Shinkansen. However, seat numbers are limited.
 *Luggage whose overall dimensions exceed 250 cm cannot be brought on board, so please make use of a delivery service on your own.
 *For customers that wish to bring oversized baggage, please write so in the free entry field at the time of booking.
 *If seating with oversized baggage space is full and not available, please either use a delivery service on your own or bring only the bare essentials required for the trip.
 *For customers that cannot make a reservation in advance and bring said luggage on board, please follow crew member instructions and store luggage in the designated area. Please note that in such cases, customers will need to pay a fee (JPY 1,000, tax incl.).
 *Also, if customers bring oversized baggage without making a reservation in advance, they will need to pay an onboard fee (JPY 1,000, tax incl.), so please divide up your luggage as much as possible.

[Important Notes/Supplements: Regarding Children/Infants]
- For customers 5 years of age and younger, round-trip Shinkansen tickets and bedding are not included. They will not be provided with their own seat on the Shinkansen, and must sit on the lap of their parent or guardian. If required, please make a booking for them at the child rate or pay directly on site.
[Important Notes/Supplements: Regarding Meals]
A set menu meal will be served for lunch. For those who would like a vegetarian meal, please make sure to inform us at the time of reservation. If requests are not provided in advance, same-day changes cannot be accepted. Halal, gluten-free, and other meal requests are not available.
