Pontocho MISOGUIGAWA
This restaurant was one of the pioneers of "French'Kaiseki'" which melds continental cuisine with Kyoto-style Japanese meals. Using traditional Japanese tableware to accentuate dishes that fuse these two great styles of cooking, the restaurant has been-pleasing even the most demanding of guests from around the world for over 30 years. It is even introduced in overseas guidebooks as one of Japan's three-star restaurants, and is the perfect destination for foreign guests to sample the culinary culture of the ancient capital.
