Located at the base of Mt. Fuji, Japan's highest mountain, Fujikyu Highland amusement park will thrill both kids and adults alike. For those that feel the need for speed, try the Dodonpa, a roller  coaster with a top speed of 172 km/hr. If that's not enough, Fujikyu also houses the King of Roller Coasters, Fujiyama, a double loop coaster. Not everything at this famous amusement park will make you scream, though - there is plenty of family orientated facilities such as Thomas Land and Rikachan Town.
Not much can beat the magnificent view of Mt. Fuji from a rollercoaster; it is an experience you shouldn't miss! But after all the excitement, you can wind down in an onsen (hot spring bath) at Fujiyama Onsen.
