As one of the driving forces of contemporary Japanese culture, Anime no longer requires an introduction. They are aired across the globe, and people all over the world anxiously await each new hit.

Japan hosts an annual international amine convention to showcase the latest innovations in the anime industry. The next fair is just around the corner.
Let's take a peek at the 6th Tokyo International Anime Fair 2007
Tokyo International Anime Fair has been held at the Tokyo Big Site, Tokyo International Exhibition Center, each spring since 2002. Last year, the fair attracted approximately 100,000 visitors during the four-day period.
The 2007 fair, held March 22 - 25, will feature a trade fair, events, and competitions.
It may take four days just to see it all.

1. Trade Fair Exhibitions, press conferences, and anime bazaars.
Intended mainly for business people to collect information on the animation industry.
2. Events Animated cartoon theater, stage events,
and the Tokyo Animation Song Festival.
3. Competition Contestants vie for the Tokyo Anime Award.
Screenings of winning works and those selected for the 3rd Special Contribution Awards. |
The first two days of the fair are restricted to industry members, while the third and fourth days are open to the general public.
The admission fee is 1000 yen for adults, 500 yen for junior/high school students, and free for elementary school students and younger.

Access to Tokyo Big Site:
From Tokyo Station, about 4 minutes to Shimbashi Station by JR Yamanote Line and then about 22 minutes to Kokusai -Tenjijo-Seimon Station by Yurikamome Monorail.
By bus (Toei Bus) about 35 minutes to Tokyo Big Sight from Tokyo Station (Yaesu Exit). |
