| The perfect way to enjoy Koyasan is to stay in shukubo, temples offering accommodation for visitors.
There are 117 temples in Koyasan and 52 temples are opened as shukubo. In shukubo, you can contact with monks nearby and calm down your heart through your stay.

What wiil you do in shukubo? Today, we'll introduce the guideline following an exampleof Fukuchiin. Fukuchiinn is the biggest shukubo in Koyasan and has about 800 years history. No other shukubo has more attractions than Fukuchiin. Letfs have a close look at !!

1. Arrival
Arriving at Fukuchiin, youfll find brilliant unique Japanese garden outside. The gardens are designed by Mirei Shigemori, who is famous for his strong rock combination and modern layout. The originality has been renowned from all over the world.
2. Bath
Natural hot spring comes out only in Fukuchiin.
You can enjoy the bath 24h a day. Of course bath towels and Yukata(Japanese bathrobe) are prepared for you. From open-air bath, youfll see a beautiful starring sky at night.

Dinner
In shukubo, all the meals are vegetarian cook.
The vegetarian cook follows the prohibition of Buddism, so they are healthy but tastes good. In Fukuchin, an experienced cock will create your dishes.
4. Sleep
Rooms are very comfortable. The air conditioner and the floor heater are fully equipped and some rooms have a restroom and a bathroom.

Morning Ceremony
If you get up early, you can participate in morning ceremony. The atmosphere is authentic and worthwhile joining. You can take part in meditation as well.
