When one thinks of instant ramen noodles, the first product that springs to mind is Cup Noodles.
And quite rightly so; it is, after all, the original instant cup ramen! Manufactured by Nissin, Cup Noodles is a tasty, inexpensive and easy to prepare snack. In fact, preparing instant cup ramen couldn't be simpler: all you have to do is pour hot water over the noodles, wait 3 minutes, and voila! No wonder it is loved worldwide.

Instant ramen noodles was invented by Nissin's founder, Momofuku Ando, in his own backyard in 1958. So significant is its cultural impact, there is now an entire museum dedicated to instant ramen in his hometown of Ikeda.

Highlights of the museum include:
My Cup Noodle Factory: Design your own cup, choose your own soup flavor, and add the ingredients you like the most.

Tasting Room: The Tasting Room features rare products that are only in limited areas.

Hands-on Chicken Ramen Workshop: This hands-on workshop gives you the chance to make your own original chicken ramen. Prior reservation is necessary due to the limited number of participants per session.

The museum is a fun place for both kids and adults. Not only can you learn about the this unique culinary invention, but you can tap your own creative genius and take home your own original "Cup Noodles", too!
