“I have recently concluded my winter holidays in Japan. During my holiday, I signed up for a day tour organised by Sunrise Tour to NIKKO on the 22nd of Dec 2009. It was not only the picturesque scenery that made the day tour memorable, it was the professionalism and the commendable ethics of the tour guide that really made the difference. The tour guide was attentive to details and gave the utmost attention to the members of the tour. As our group consist of many non-Asians, they were unfamiliar with the usage of chopsticks and were unsure of the kind of food that was provided for lunch. On this, the guide went to each of them, individually, to explain the ingredients that were used to prepare the meal and taught them to use the utensils provided before returning to complete his meal. Although Japan is renown for her quality in service, such thoughtfulness exhibited by the guide far exceeds the national standard. Apart from being attentive, his sincerity in spreading the Japanese culture was evident in his conduct of the tour. He prepared his presentations about Japanese history and landmarks exhaustively and he also laminated all of his pictures and maps that were used for the presentation. The efforts that he has put into preparing his presentation is an indication of his conscientiousness. It is often the minute actions that tells the most about a person. The final point that impressed me was he actually self-taught himself to be able to speak fluent English. To be able to learn a foreign language and speak it clearly and fluently is never easy; it takes a tremendous amount of hard work. Your company is really fortunate to have an employee like him, he has not only uphold the standard of Sunrise Tour, he has also succeeded in spreading the Japanese values of conscientiousness and sincerity to her visitors.

Please could you pass my comments on to the management of JTB as I wanted to pass on feedback on my experience of using your tours.
We went on the day tour of Tokyo on 11th October (tour guide Mai) and the bullet train return trip to Mt Fuji on 12th October (tour guide Hari). Both tours were excellent and your tour guides were extremely helpful. They allowed us to experience a little bit of Japan, and really wanted to show us the best of Tokyo.
I would also like to say that we bumped in to Hari on the 13th at Tokyo station whilst we were on route to Tokyo Disney and he even guided us to the correct line to make sure we were on the right train.
This level of service is not something we are not used to here in the UK, and the fact your guides still help post tour was such a rewarding honour.
We will be recommending JTB to our friends to who visit Japan as your tours were excellent.

“My experience with Sunrise Tour going to Mt. Fuji and Hakone was the
best tour of my 12 days in Japan and Hong Kong. I was picked up at my
hotel, the AKA Intercontinental by taxi and a guide who was prompt and
informative even on the way to the bus station. There I was directed
onto a bus and since the bus had a few empty seats I was directed to
sit up front next to the guide which I loved! The guide was
informative, entertaining, educated us about the history, customs,
culture, and geography of Japan. She shared personal insights that
helped us understand Japan. The driver was amazingly experienced with
the hairpin turns arriving and departing from Mt. Fuji and Hakone.
Our guide kept us on time and was a mother hen making sure we
were all safe and on the bus while allowing us freedom to shop,
explore, and roam. I chose to take the "Bullet" train or the
Shingansin back to Tokyo. Our guide helped us every step of the way
without making us feel like tourists. She was a teacher...and her
help allowed me to later travel the subways and trains alone because
of the things she taught us. The trip was beyond worth every
penny...and it was VERY REASONABLY priced. My husband works in Tokyo
a few times a year. I told him he must take a day for him after work
before he comes home and take the Sunrise Tour to Mt. Fuji and Hakone.
My guide, I think that is the spelling was extraordinary from
my experience on bus tours. However, I believe Sunrise only hires
guides like her. She was adorable....showing us hand drawn maps,
pictures of the Emperor and his family...and sharing so much that we
all wanted to know. I don't know where else Sunrise exists...but I
would pick them hands down over any other tour service.”

“We participated in Sunrise Tours program starting in Tokyo on March 26 and ending in Kyoto on April 4.
We were impressed by the punctuality and the content of various excursions we took part in as well as by the detailed information given by your guides during the site visits.
Everything was well organized and we appreciated the friendliness of your guides, too, as well the fine sense of humour they showed - it felt as if we were sight-seeing among close friends!
Then there is another matter,just as important. I would like to extend my appreciation and special thanks to the driver of MK transfer service who took us yesterday morning at 07.05 hrs from Karasuma Kyoto hotel to the Kansai airport.
I had dropped my mobile phone accidentally on the floor of the minibus and would have left Osaka without it.
Luckily the driver was careful and noticed the phone, and brought it to me personally to the terminal as I was preparing for security check.
My sincere thanks go to the driver who by this action saved me from many worries.
I hope you will be able to pass this thank you -message to the driver: I wish him well!
This action by the MK driver only added to my high regard for the Japanese people.
