Sunrise Tours Announces Special One-day Tours
for Chinese New Year
from Kanazawa & Fukuoka
For the first time, JTB Global Marketing & Travel Inc. Sunrise Tours will offer one-day tours from Kanazawa and Fukuoka. For a limited time only during the Chinese New Year holidays, one course (in Chinese) will depart from Kanazawa, and two courses (in English) will be offered from Fukuoka. These courses were planned in cooperation with JTB CHUBU Corp. and JTB Kyushu Corp.
While the number of visitors to Japan has declined due to the rising yen, Sunrise Tours predicts that the number of individuals (FIT customers) interested in enjoying Japan’s cultural and natural assets will increase.
Planned to test the market needs of individual Asian tourists in major local cities, the new tours may be purchased locally, after arriving in Japan. They were specially designed in collaboration with JTB CHOUBU Corp. and JTB Kyushu Corp., utilizing their special knowledge to highlight the major attractions in each area. The tours will also be featured in promotions at local hotels in order to take full advantage of post-arrival demand.
Reservations can be made starting December 25, and the tours will be offered from January 25 through February 3.
JTB Sunrise tours is confident that locally-based tours such as these, created to highlight local area attractions, will spur demand in the Asian FIT market, and lead to tours offered year-round.
