GMT facilitates “OHENRO” Tour
JTB Global Marketing & Travel Inc. (JTBGMT) facilitated a “OHENRO” Pilgrimage Tour on the island of Shikoku in November 2008. The tour from the Netherlands visited 29 out of 88 temples on the OHENRO pilgrimage route over 12 days. Members traveled much of the pilgrimage on foot and their efforts were featured on various media outlets including NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation). JTBGMT supports Shikoku’s desire for the OHENRO pilgrimage route to be declared as a World Heritage site, as this will help promote the charms of the region.
