Sunrise Sumo Tour: The First Sumo Tournament Victor from Europe！
KOTO-OUSHU won the 2008 Summer Sumo Tournament, becoming the first European sumo wrestler to take the Emperor’s Cup and the seventh foreign champion. Sunrise Sumo Tour was on site for the entire Summer Tournament and a total of 544 participated during the 15 day period. This popular program from Sunrise Tour began in 1997 and showed 135% growth in 2007 compared to the prior year. Some tours, such as SUMO TRAINING STABLE INSPECTION TOUR* and SUNRISE SUMO TOUR & CHANKO DINNER - TOKYO TOURNAMENT, also offer a even closer look at the sport in addition to seats at the tournament.
